A: Smoothie Factory offers three different types of stores: Express, Traditional, and Deluxe. The types of stores are classified according to square footage and nutritional product inventory levels. The majority of all Smoothie Factory stores are Traditional and are usually opened with a total cost of $150,000 - $220,000. However, each location is unique and may be lower or higher than this cost.

A: Profitability depends on many factors including operating and occupancy costs, financing terms and most important, your ability to operate the business effectively.

A: Smoothie Factory is seeking individuals who are capable of operating multiple locations. Candidates who have successfully operated multiple businesses may be suited to operating several Smoothie Factory franchises. Additionally, Owner/Operators who have successfully operated their first Smoothie Factory store will be eligible for growth.

A: The availability of a store in specific areas will be discussed during your initial interview. The store must be located in a state that requires no formal registration process or is a state that Smoothie Factory has registered with. Currently, Smoothie Factory is registered to franchise in 36 states. However, we are concentrating franchising efforts in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, New Jersey and California. Multi-Store or Area development opportunities will be considered in other states - just ask.

A: Smoothie Factory does not offer financing. However, Owner/Operators enjoy the benefits of our established relationships with national lending institutions if they meet their qualifications for a loan.

A: A monthly fee based upon the store's sales performance is currently 5.0% of gross monthly sales with up to a maximum of 2.0% for marketing. Currently, the marketing fee is set at .25%.
